Founded in 1992, the Moscow Soloists have become a globetrotting orchestra over the decades. They have appeared in the famed concert halls of Australia, Japan, the United States and Europe. The celebrated soloists whom legendary violist Yuri Bashmet has invited to play with the orchestra include Sviatoslav Richter, Gidon Kremer, Mstislav Rostropovich, Lynn Harrell and Olga Borodina. In Budapest, the ensemble leader will take it upon himself to play the solo in Paganini’s fiendishly difficult concerto.
